Would You Encourage Other CND's to Use
Your Menu and Nutrient Analysis Software?

Long-time Meals Plus Customer Linda Miller of Perkins Local Schools (OH) recently implemented our Menu Planning and Nutritional Analysis software system – and she's already recommending it to her peers!

Before adding these systems to her child nutrition software suite, she was calculating all of her nutritional information by hand or with the USDA's 6 Cent Tool, which she found unwieldy and time consuming. But once she decided to start using the Meals Plus system, she found it to be "a huge time saver." Manipulating and creating new menus is easier than ever. She can scan her labels, mark ingredients that contain allergens, and change menu items easily. She can also easily see the menu components and make necessary corrections quickly.

Linda isn't the only happy Meals Plus Menus customer, and there's a reason why! Contact us today for more information or to schedule a web demo to see Meals Plus Menus and Nutrient Analysis for yourself.

Tips from Our White Paper Library

In our most recent white paper, "The 5 P's of Promoting Your School Meal Program," Child Nutrition Operations Consultant Cynthia Sevier, SNS, examines how you can promote your child nutrition program, and shares real-life experiences in school districts across the country. "The 5 P's" are Product, Placement, Promotion, Price and People. Here is a real-life example of how you can implement "Promotion" in your program:

Kurt Chou, School Nutrition Director for Los Nietos School District in Whittier, California has increased participation by trying to change the image of the program. First, Kurt increased his marketing efforts. He has implemented the use of salad bars and updated the point-of-sale system for efficiency. "Second Chance Breakfast" has been implemented to offer students an opportunity to get breakfast if they are not hungry or present when the first breakfast was served. Kurt also felt that it was important to include his staff in the reimaging of the program and purchased uniforms for his employees.
