Meet the Team: Julia

Get to know the Meals Plus Team! Julia Barnette is an integral part of the Meals Plus Team as our Product Analyst. She works with the Development and Support Team to ensure our cafeteria software meets your district's needs.

The Dish: How long have you been at Meals Plus?
Julia: I’ve worked for Meals Plus for 8 years and 5 months!

TD: What duties and responsibilities does your position entail?
J: I am in charge of tracking customer information to ensure that the correct software is delivered to customers and that they are satisfied with everything that they had requested from Meals Plus

TD: What aspects of your position do you enjoy the most?
J: I love the satisfaction of helping customers with things that they need and want.

TD: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
J: I enjoy painting, reading, playing games with my kids as well as going to the lake and the beach.

TD: What was your favorite lunch when you were in school?
J: Definitely square pizza with chocolate milk and corn!

Amanda Williams, Kemper County School District (MS)


The Dish: How long have you been using Meals Plus?
Amanda Williams: I have been with Meals Plus for two months now.

TD: What duties and responsibilities does your position entail?
AW: I am the food service director for Kemper County School District in De Kalb, MS. I supervise, direct and train managers of individual units and assists managers in training employees. I also provide leadership and direction for total staff. Also I act as liaison to the state child nutrition office, vendors, school staff, and parents.

TD: What aspects of your position do you enjoy the most?
AW: I like the fact that I have the opportunity to be involved in changing the lives of students and direct them and my staff in the most positive way I can.

TD: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
AW: In my free time I enjoy working out, spending time with my family, being involve with community activities and helping students in any way I can.

TD: What is your favorite "like" about Meals Plus and/or how has it helped your operations?
AW: I like the fact that I am able to contact the help desk from the software itself and the problem is able to be solved in less then 30 minutes. Also it gives me the ability to print reports quickly without going through so many steps. Also [Account Manager] Joy Miller is a great person and I have enjoyed working with her and your entire staff.
