Graham’s Best Practices: Point of Sale and POS+

I want to make sure you get the most out of your cafeteria management software system. So if you’re a Meals Plus Point of Sale or POS+ customer, check out these “Best Practice” tips to help keep your lunchlines moving!

Point of Sale:
• Help prevent serving on incorrect days by restricting the ability to Change the Serving Date in the Serve screen.
• Actual Date is when a transaction is actually entered. Effective Date is the date chosen in the Serve screen.
• Ensure the Date/Time of each computer is correct as Offline Transactions cannot use the Date/Time from the Server.

POS+:
• Closed Days in Point of Sale Plus can be Unclosed, as well as Modified, directly from the Utilities section.
• Reimbursement (Federal and State), Accuclaim Edit, and Revenue Summary reports for Supper are available here.
• Only sites that are licensed for Point of Sale Plus (via System Management) will be viewable in the module.
