Latest Edition of Eligibility Manual for School Meals Released

The Child Nutrition division of the USDA released the latest version of Eligibility Manual for School Meals last month. This version includes clarifications necessary since the previous version in October 2011 and has two major changes: an emphasis on how to meet eligibility requirements when dealing with families with limited English proficiency and the removal of temporary approvals.

For the next three months, a highlighted version of the manual is available that makes it easy to see the changes made. After that, only an un-highlighted version will be available.
