Meals Plus Customer Spotlight: Pat Carter, Lexington County School District One (SC)

Pat Carter is the Director of Food Service and Nutrition at Lexington County School District One in Lexington, SC. The Dish: How long have you been using Meals Plus?
Pat Carter: I have been a Meals Plus Customer for over 16 years.

TD: What duties and responsibilities does your position entail?
PC: My position requires me to interact and collaborate with people at every level of our district, including: students, parents, teachers, supervisors, colleagues and stakeholders. I ensure our department meets state and federal regulations, and that my staff has what they need to provide nutritious and tasty meals for our students. I also conduct various bookkeeping duties, such as managing inventory records,  preparing purchase orders and maintaining our financial transactions.

TD: What aspects of your position do you enjoy the most?
PC: I enjoy making a difference in the lives of all of our students in Lexington One.

TD: What do you like to do in your free time?
PC: I love fishing, gardening, and photography.

TD: What is your favorite lunch when you were in school?
PC: My favorite school meal was spaghetti!
