Meals Plus Puts Update Timing In Your Hands

With Meals Plus, we allow you – the Child Nutrition Department – to manage when you receive our auto updates.

We understand that the date of the release, or even the time 2:00 p.m. Eastern, may not be ideal for many customers for many reasons. That’s why, with Meals Plus, you can control the timing of your releases.

We recommend that once all client computers have received a release, you disable the functionality. Then, when you are notified of the next quarterly update, you can decide when it’s best for you to update your computers. Take time to review the release notes, and any applicable webinars. And once you receive the release, check the Security settings in System Management to see if you need to enable any new features you want to use.

To disable the auto updates, a Meals Plus Administrator simply logs into System Management, selects the Administration menu, and “Control File.” Then, uncheck the “Enabled” button for Auto-Updates. Once you are ready to receive updates, simply enable the setting again and you will receive all updates that have been released to your district.

Please note: This is a system wide setting and only needs to be done once, from any client computer.
