Customer Spotlight: Amanda Williams of Kemper County School District (MS)

Kemper County School District (MS) is one of the newest members of the Meals Plus Family. Child Nutrition Director Amanda Williams and her team are enjoying the benefits Meals Plus Reports offer, and are finding a substantial reduction in their manual data entry since implementation. The Meals Plus Support Team has also been a welcomed asset to their operations, as they do not need to be assigned multiple case numbers or require multiple call backs. Their questions are being answered quickly, and thus their operations are running smoothly.  We are thrilled to have Kemper County School District as a member of the Meals Plus Family!

The Dish: How long have you been using Meals Plus?
Amanda Williams: I have been with Meals Plus for two months now.

TD: What duties and responsibilities does your position entail?
AW: I am the food service director for Kemper County School District in De Kalb, MS. I supervise, direct and train managers of individual units and assist managers in training employees. I also provide leadership and direction for total staff. Also, I act as liaison to the state child nutrition office, vendors, school staff, and parents.

TD: What aspects of your position do you enjoy the most?
AW: I like the fact that I have the opportunity to be involved in changing the lives of students and direct them and my staff in the most positive way I can.

TD: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
AW: In my free time I enjoy working out, spending time with my family, being involved with community activities and helping students in any way I can.

TD: What is your favorite “like” about Meals Plus and/or how has it helped your operations?
AW: I like the fact that I am able to contact the help desk from the software itself and the problem is able to be solved in less then 30 minutes. Also it gives me the ability to print reports quickly without going through so many steps. Also [Account Manager] Joy Miller is a great person and I have enjoyed working with her and your entire staff.
