SNEW Spotlight: Tammy McCracken and Vickie McCracken

In honor of School Nutrition Employee Week (May 7-11, 2012), we have been highlighting special members of school cafeteria staff from across the country. This particular featured article is from Karen Little, the cafeteria manager at Miller Perry Elementary School of Sullivan County Schools in Tennessee.

“I would like to recognize Tammy McCracken and Vickie McCracken. When my husband had a car accident on December 20, 2011, I needed to do my inventory. When I went to the school Tammy and Vickie were there to help me. They didn’t want anything for helping. I so appreciated their help. How can you repay an act of kindness like that?  We are blessed to have employees like this all across the county. They don’t make much money but are so willing to help because they care about us and the children.”
